Welcome to The House of Acid

Barcelona has a way of pulling you in.

The streets here are always buzzing, and in the days leading up to race morning, the whole city carries that familiar pre-race energy.

Ahead of this year’s Barcelona Half Marathon, we linked up with House of Felix, one of the sharpest running concept stores in Europe and a natural home for Acid.

For three days, the store became our basecamp in the city: a place to drop in, conspire, fuel properly, loosen the legs, and gather with proponents of Iberian Acid propaganda.

Welcome to The House of Acid.

The best race weekends aren’t defined by the race itself.

They’re defined by the build-up. The laughter. The shared nerves. The small rituals that make no sense to anyone else.

Throughout the residency, the space was open for runners passing through Barcelona — locals and visitors alike — coming in for kit, conversation, and calm.

Fuel, Runs, and Pre-Race Ritual

We opened the weekend with a Fueling Lab hosted by @joana.nutricion, focusing on carb-loading, hydration strategy, and the reality of fuelling for 21K.

From there, we took things outside with relaxed social runs through the neighbourhood. Easy kilometres, conversational pace, and the kind of run that reminds reassures you it will all be OK on the day!

Fuel came courtesy of @Motivoclub, and hydration was handled by @maurten_official.

Reset Before the Start Line

To close out the residency, we slowed things down with a gentle run and a mobility session led by Josep from @vitruvio_josepavstudio.

It felt like the perfect way to end the weekend: not adding intensity, but removing tension.

The kind of session that reminds you that running well isn’t only about effort — it’s about arriving at the start line with a body that feels ready to cooperate.

Barcelona Delivered

For three days, House of Felix became a home base for runners moving through the city. A space built around the rituals that matter: fuelling, movement, recovery, and community.

Barcelona did what it always does — it delivered atmosphere, warmth, and chaos in equal measure.

Big thanks to House of Felix for having us, and to everyone who came down to run, learn, eat, drink, browse, and bring the whole thing to life.

Until next time.
