Acid in Portobello
During the height of this Summer's fifth (and final?) heatwave, we shot "IRL couple" and friends of the brand Lawrence & Jessica in Portobello.
Despite the final images looking serene, most of the morning was spent either waiting for, or apologising to, tourists.
The first stop was Crème Notting Hill, an IG story addict's dream, and home to some of the best cookies in London.
Lawrence immediately ruined the aesthetic by ordering what looked like a raspberry whip, which sits outside of our approved colour palette.
Quick note on pubs in the area.
As an outsider, expressing any opinion on your favourite pub can be dangerous, such are the shifting sands of the West London runner's tastes & preferences.
I'm going to keep it simple. Choose The Pelican if you want to be seen, choose The Elgin if you prefer an inconspicuous session.
Here's where we admittedly crossed the line into full performative.
Pinterest/Celeb Couple/Wellnessmaxxing/Unironically-ironic.
I will say though, when this was being being shot, the footfall into the bakery more than doubled.
